Sisters

HIYC sisters are a growing team of creative and enthusiastic volunteers.

The HIYC sisters envisage a positive and exiting future as they plan and develop HIYC initiatives. These initiatives are aimed at presenting knowledge enriching as well as resourceful and entertaining programs, catering for our youth girls, sisters and young children.

HIYC present and pending sisters and youth programs include:

HIYC EDUCATION CLASSES

HIYC Education classes are aimed at providing General Islamic knowledge catering for sisters, Young children and youth of various ages.

These classes are especially designed to enhance and motivate learning, and are directed at generating beneficial results. These programs also cater for the variations in ages amongst children and capacity amongst sisters. Hence, the classes vary from beginner to intermediate and include hifz, iqra and Arabic.

HIYC education team has also extended their programs to include a tutoring service, provided by qualified volunteers and offering the youth academic assistance through an exciting initiative “the Homework club”.

FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT

Suitable Entertainment and alternatives are always a concern for sisters and mothers with children. HIYC sisters are always on the creative move to develop and deliver Fun and entertaining community programs and initiatives, to hopefully cater for this growing demand within our community.

HEALTH & FITNESS

Provided by a specialized fitness instructor, the Fitness classes are developed and aimed at providing our sisters with sessions that nurture Islamic values and principles, a concern voiced by most sisters. Hence, these sessions are Private Lady’s only sessions insuring No music and correct attire to be worn at all times. This however does not in any way hinder the health benefit and enjoyment our sisters may derive from a HIYC fitness session.

YOUTH GROUPS

HIYC sisters have initiated a Sunday program aimed at our young girls (ages 10 & under). The program is set up to allow girls to engage with other girls their age, in a friendly and fun environment. The girls are also provided with many resourceful creative activities and fun ideas such as craft, cooking lessons and much more.

Pending are 2 other programs aimed at young boys (under 10 years old) and a youth group aimed at teenage girls (ages 10 +).

HIYC SISTERS CAFE

HIYC café runs simultaneously with HIYC programmes and offers sisters a variety of halal food and beverages including:

  • Coffee
